DAY TO DAY ITINERARY

July 12:

Arrival Day! Arrive in Arusha, Tanzania (Kilimanjaro International Airport) by the evening. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to our accommodation in Arusha, where you will enjoy dinner and stay the night!

July 13:

Official first full day of the group trip begins! Kick off this Tanzania adventure with breakfast at our hotel! Next, we will meet our Driver and Guide and embark on our first road trip to Tarangire National Park!

Once arrived, we’ll begin our first safari game drive of the trip! Tarangire National Park is known for the abundance of elephants that call it home… get that camera ready! We’ll take a break from this adventure with a picnic in the park and then continue searching for wildlife! To wrap up this adrenaline-packed day, we’ll cozy up at our lodge near the park and enjoy dinner!

July 14:

Have your bags packed and enjoy breakfast at our accommodation before we head off to our next National Park! We’ll road-trip and have lunch along the way to the Serengeti!

While en route to our luxury accommodation inside the park, we will enter and traverse through the Serengeti, laying our eyes on the vast plains for the first time. We will keep our eyes peeled for wildlife along the way! Once we arrive at our lodge for the next two nights, we will enjoy the pool, relax and have dinner amidst the stunning Serengeti backdrop.

July 15:

This will be a full-day spent in Serengeti! Buckle up! We’ll hop in the safari jeeps and explore the Serengeti according to our own pace — hoping to spot lions, cheetahs, rhinos, wildebeest, and more! For lunch, there will be a picnic in the park during our game drive. Once we arrive back to our tranquil accommodation, we’ll reminisce on the day, indulge at dinner, swim in the pool, and pack for our morning roadtrip!

July 16:

Begin the day in the Serengeti and road-trip to Ngorongoro Crater! Before embarking on Safari in the Crater, we will be welcomed by the Maasai tribe in their village boma! Here, we’ll learn about culture, lifestyle, and traditions! Once we embark into the crater and spend some time awing over the abundance of animals, we will enjoy lunch in the park as a relaxing break during our game drive adventure! After our game drive, we will enjoy our accommodation near the crater and have dinner!

July 17:

Enjoy a relaxed morning and breakfast at the lodge before hitting the road en route back to Arusha! We will arrive by mid-day at our luxury stay and have the rest of the day for some post-safari R&R! Plan to enjoy both lunch and dinner here, while also taking advantage of all the hotels amenities like the pool and spa.

July 18:

This day can either be dedicated to some much-needed R&R while enjoying all the luxury hotel’s amenities, OR you can choose to have one last day packed with adventure! There will be an optional (included) excursion to embark on a multi-hour road trip (approx 2.5 hours both ways) to the foothills of the enormous Mount Kilimanjaro. Once there, we will go on a moderate hike along the base of Kili, leading us to the highest waterfall of the mountain. After swimming in the waterfall (or simply just admiring it!), we will head back to a local coffee plantation where we will learn how coffee is made! After our waterfall & coffee adventure, we will head back to Arusha for a good nights rest, re-packing, and dinner!

July 19:

Departure Day! It’s time for one last breakfast in Tanzania! Due to some flights departing in the evening, there will be the option to visit the largest Art Gallery in Africa or simply relax at the hotel during the day! If still at the hotel during lunch time, you can enjoy lunch at the hotel although it is not included on this day. This is where our adventure of a lifetime ends. We will all say our “see ya laters” and load up on our airport transfer to the Kilimanjaro International Airport!

You must book your flights into Kilimanjaro International Airport. Please send us the flights you are considering before purchasing so we can ensure they all align with the itinerary!

Please take note of vaccines and medications that the CDC recommends (not required) for travel to Tanzania and their costs: Malaria medication and Typhoid Vaccinations

Clothing: Prepare for loose, long-sleeve, and lightweight clothing to help keep away mosquitoes

Travel Insurance: We suggest purchasing travel insurance to protect your trip & medical travel insurance for when you are abroad

WiFi/Data: The lodges & luxury accommodations we stay in will have WiFi; however, sometimes WiFi internationally can be spotty and unreliable. It is a requirement to have access to data.

Food: Expect simple meals during our picnic lunches and a large array of food to choose from at the hotel stays!

Safari Experience: We will be in large jeep-style vehicles for the majority of the trip. This is a wildlife experience and we will only exit the vehicle in instances that the local and experienced guide deems it safe. Road trips can be very bumpy and dusty. Please expect long hours in the car due to the extensive roadtrips we take & of course, game drives in the parks!

Accommodations will be lodge-style and luxury. There will be a pool at every accommodation.

Safari is all about the search! You never know what you are going to see and patience can be key. That is the beauty of Safari!

Be Kind: There will be absolutely zero tolerance for any unnecessary negativity, unkindness, or disrespect for the country’s requirements.
